FIVE BEACON REVIEW FOR KINGDOM COME
by David Lynn Anderson

Joseph is
an enigmatic man who some believe is the second coming of Christ.
There is also Father Sean McCauley, the priest assigned to
determine if Joseph is the song of God or the Anti-Christ.
I enjoyed this book immensely. The premise is one that has
lately been written of often, but this book takes the perspective
of the church and society rather than simply the battle between
good and evil. I especially appreciated the effects
expressed in a large portion of society opting out of the
established ³community² and forming their own, seemingly
following the ³Chosen One.² The involvement of the
government and the church took the story to another level and
added a true sense of realism to the plot.
The writing was excellent and the characters were very well
rounded. The settings provided were just enough to guide the
reader but still allow them to use their own imagination as well.
The story drew me in and held me throughout. I¹m looking
forward to reading the next book and sincerely hope the author
will give me that pleasure. A story well told!

Father
Sean McCauley, a young American Catholic Priest, is torn between
his overwhelming desire for a wife and children and his religious
calling.
Father
McCauley accepts an assignment from the church to investigate
Joseph, a charismatic evangelist who is luring away the Catholic
flock. Along the way, the priest hopes to find an answer to his
own dilemma of church vs. marriage.
Joseph's
message, backed up by the miracles he performs, is so powerful
that people are joining him by the thousands, leaving their homes
and jobs to join him in self-sustaining communities across the
United States, and the world. They believe he is the Second
Coming, and it is up to Father Sean to prove otherwise.
Well
written, intriguing and full of suspense to the very end, Kingdom
Come is a book that I thoroughly enjoyed, and will read again in
the future. I look forward to reading book two in the series.

Right away I was concerned. When I read the title and saw book one, I wondered if this would be a
book with no ending. I really don’t like books with no ending, but I was wrong.
I really enjoyed this book. Lately there have been many books written about the mystical and magic.
This was not one of those books with fantastical beasts and outrageous magical powers. This was a
book that was more believable, causing you to think.
There’s a new preacher in town, Joseph. Many people believe he is the second coming of Jesus; he is
the new Jesus or the anti-Christ. Joseph is causing many of the churches in the US and around the
world to lose members. People are leaving their homes and jobs and moving to his
self-contained communities all over the United States.
Father Sean McCauley has to find out if Joseph is the second coming of Jesus or the anti-Christ who
is leading the flock astray. We are taken on a wonderful ride as Sean delves into the past of Joseph
and the Catholic Church. Will Father Sean McCauley end up making a pact with the devil to save
the souls of millions? Is Sean mistaken and Joseph really is the second coming of Jesus?
As Father McCauley is trying to figure out if Joseph is Jesus, he is also battling a decision of
whether or not to remain a priest. He is unsure of this future as a priest because he would like to
marry and have a family. Will he leave the priesthood or will he remain?
This is really a good book and I am looking forward to future installments of Kingdom Come. I
really like this book because there is no way to guess what is going to happen. When you think that
you know for sure what will happen, there’s a twist. Great job by the author. I am looking forward
to reading more of his work.
